Proverbs 2:5-6

Then. Circle that word. After four verses of if, here is the payoff — and it is a guarantee with no fine print.

Stop and feel how rare that is. A sailor can do everything right and still sink. A farmer can plant perfectly and watch a drought take the whole crop. A man can train for years and blow out a knee. Almost every venture on this earth can fail you even when you didn't fail it. Here is the one search that cannot: no man has ever sought the knowledge of God in the right place, with his whole heart, and come up empty. On the last day there will not be one single person who can stand before God and say, "I dug and found nothing." Not one.

And verse 6 tells you why the guarantee holds: "For the LORD giveth wisdom." The treasure hunt has a secret — the Owner of the treasure wants you to find it. You are not cracking a vault God is guarding against you; you are digging toward a Father who buried the treasure shallow on purpose. That is why the search cannot fail. He gives it "out of his mouth" — which tells you exactly where to dig: His Word. God does not promise wisdom through feelings, visions, or vibes; He speaks it, and He has spoken it in a Book you can hold. The mouth of God and the open Bible on your table are connected.

Get the order of this chapter straight, because it is the order of the whole Christian life: the seeking is yours; the giving is His. Verses 1–4 are your shovel. Verses 5–6 are His hand. Both are really true at the same time, and you do not have to untangle the deep math of it — you just have to dig.
